Today we take a further look at the soon to release short film by Richard Phillips, starring none other than Lindsay Lohan. Entitled ‘First Point’, the film shows Lindsay first surfing, then walking along a beach and sunbathing, followed by an emotionally charged night scene. On June 11th, artist Richard Phillips is premiering his short film at Art Unlimited at Art Basel 2012. The premiere is presented by Gagosian Gallery.
The co-director of the film is legendary surf filmmaker Taylor Steele. Phillips and Steele collaborated with Curator & Creative Director Dominic Sidhu for the film. The score is by Thomas Bangalter, who is one half of the French Electric duo Daft Punk. The editor of the movie, Jay Rabinowitz, was also the editor for 8 Mile, Requirem for a Dream, Adjustment Bureau and The Tree of Life, amongst others. Lindsay’s acknowledged surf double is Kassia Meador, one of the best female surfers in the world.
